“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.”
Have you ever felt that you were under attack and you couldn’t figure out what direction to turn? You felt trapped and overwhelmed by all of the things that were coming at you. The enemy was firing grenades at you from every direction.
This happened to me just last week. I mean everything that you could think of happened. From me being attacked on Facebook, to the enemy trying to make my kids weak in their faith, to someone breaking into my car, to me being at battle with my own mind. And you know that your mind can be your worst enemy at time. I overthink so, I have been in battle with my self. But, through all of this, I kept my mind on Jesus and stayed in the word. Even when my flesh wanted to give up. My spirit said “Keep Going!”
The scripture Isaiah 26:3 says,” You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”
Today be encouraged and keep your mind stayed on Jesus. He will protect you when the enemy attacks. He said, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” But he did not say that the weapon will not come, but he said the weapon will not work. Stay focus on God! He will give you strength when you are weary and a shield during attack.
“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”
No matter what is going on in your life today, God is greater than any challenges or difficulties you are facing. When I am being attacked this is what I do! I FIGHT BACK!! I know you maybe wondering how I fight back. Well here’s how:
· I pray for the enemy
· I lean on God
· I trust God
· I remember that I am His child
· I use the shield of protection
· I read Ephesians 6:14-16
“ Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
Be prepared for attack. It’s all about how you handle it. You got this!!
A Prayer for Today
"Father in heaven, thank You for protecting me from the enemy. And also my mind. Let me find peace in you. Remove everything that is not for good. Give me strength to endure and let me lean on you. Forgive my attackers and let them find peace. In Jesus’ Name. Amen."
Remember what Psalm 91:4 says “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
